Digital Skills and where to find them

A Workshop for Mapping the digital Research Landscape in Humanities and Cultural and Social Sciences

  • Have you also had problems finding colleagues with expertise, for example, in digital methods or in the field of digital ethics and law for a workshop?
  • Are you also surprised that no other colleagues with a similar methodological profile related to, for example, topic modeling, NLP, RSE, image processing, or audio data work at HU?
  • How do I learn about exciting projects, for example, in digital editions, corpora, statistical analysis, or visual modeling at HU?
  • Are you yourself not visible with your digital competence and thus often miss exciting workshops and working groups?
  • With whom can I teach the cultural and philosophical concepts of digitality or the application of digital methods in my field?

Join our Workshop

  • User Story Creation: Collaboratively design user stories focusing on user journey mapping for enhanced research visibility and findability, particularly in the context of digital research.
  • Interactive Sessions: Participate in interactive discussions and exercises aimed at tailoring the platform to meet the needs of our research community.
  • Test User Experience: Play a crucial role in testing the platform, providing valuable insights, and seeing how your input directly shapes its development.

Goal

  • The IZ Digitality and Digital Methods at Campus Mitte is planning a web application to map the research landscape in the digital humanities, cultural studies, and social sciences.
  • To build such an application, we need your ideas and wishes, which we will use in the form of user stories and user story mapping in this workshop to guide the development of the web application.
