Co-Working for Students meets Co-Learning

IZ D2MCM Co-Working Space – Special Edition in the Summer Semester 2026

In the upcoming summer semester 2026, the co-working space at IZ D2MCM will be expanded with a new component: In addition to working together, we are deliberately creating space for exchange, feedback, and joint learning. Our meetings will thus become co-working and co-learning sessions, where your specific questions from studies and research are at the center.

Twice a month, students come together at the IZ D2MCM co-working space to work on digital projects and exchange ideas about software, data, code, and project management.

New are the thematic focus points and meeting location: Each session is additionally held under an open focus topic. You can present your work, specifically request feedback, and learn from each other. The focus is on you bringing your projects and us discussing stumbling blocks together as well as providing feedback on planning steps. At the same time, you can try new things and sharpen your pitching skills in front of a supportive student audience.

We also meet in the Video conference room in Grimm Center – an open, relaxed and low-threshold location that also invites informal work beyond classic seminar settings. You are always warmly welcome.

Your hosts: Kleio Chrysopoulou Tseva (student assistant at IZ D2MCM) coordinates and moderates the meetings, alternately supported by Dr. Carolin Odebrecht, Eliza Mandieva and Anica Skibba.

Co-Learning: The Workshop Concept

The sessions are designed as open workshop formats. The respective titles mark the thematic focus of the session – such as presentations, research design, visualization, or digital tools. However, the focus is not on a finished lecture, but on the joint exchange about your own projects and questions.

The meetings are not to be understood as classic teaching events, but as a student work and feedback round, where we learn from each other and support each other with our projects.
